The Gurdjieff Society of Massachusetts

Roger Lipsey is the author of the prize-winning book, Angelic Mistakes: The Art of Thomas Merton; of a much-read work on modern art, An Art of Our Own: The Spiritual in Twentieth-Century Art; and of other books including a three-volume edition dedicated to Ananda K. Coomaraswamy. He is currently writing on the mind and methods of Dag Hammarskjold, who was secretary-general of the United Nations (1953-61) and the author of a classic of modern spirituality, Markings. Dr. Lipsey is a member of the board of the Gurdjieff Society of Massachusetts, based in Cambridge, and a trustee of the Gurdjieff Foundation.
